Day 1: Welcome to Jodhpur
When you get to Jaipur railway station or the airport, our agent will be there to pick you up. Our agent will then drive you to the hotel that we booked for you. You can have a cup of tea or a cold drink. Then go out to see the city of Jodhpur. The city of Jodhpur is really beautiful. Jodhpur is the biggest city in Rajasthan, and it has a very interesting past. The city of Jodhpur is famous for its buildings. The people of Jodhpur painted these buildings blue to show that they were the homes of the Brahmins. The Brahmins are the caste in India. The fort of Mehrangarh is very big and strong. It has a view and eight gates that lead out of the fort. The new part of the city is outside the fort. The city of Jodhpur is also famous for its horses. These horses are called Marwari or Malani horses. You can only find these horses in Jodhpur. On your day you can spend the evening buying handicraft items.
Day 2: A tour across Jodhpur
On the 2nd day, have a quick and delicious breakfast at the hotel and then go out to see the sights at the popular forts and lakes around here. Go to Jaswant Thada. This is a marble memorial built in 1899 to remember Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. You can also see pictures of Jodhpurs rulers at Jaswant Thada. Then head to Mehrangarh Fort. This fort is located on a hill thats 125 meters above Jodhpur and is very safe. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the famous forts in India and is full of history and stories. You can still see the marks of cannonballs on the gate of Mehrangarh Fort from when the army of Jaipur attacked it. Also visit Moti Mahal. Moti Mahal is a hall where the royal family would meet with people. The hall has glass windows and five niches where the rulers could listen to what was happening on the throne of Jodhpur. On this day you will also go to see Mandore. Mandore used to be the capital of the Marwar area before Jodhpur was built. There is a fort, many different temples and forts, and a small museum in the Mandore Gardens.
Day 3: Destination Jaisalmer
Soon after breakfast you will travel to Jaisalmer on that day. This road trip will let you see the landscapes of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer is also called the Golden City. It is like a gate to the Thar Desert. Jaisalmer, like cities in Rajasthan, has big havelis and forts. People call Jaisalmer the ‘heart’ of the Thar Desert. It is a town with amazing buildings. Jaisalmer has beautiful structures.
Day 4: A tour across Jaisalmer
The city of Jaisalmer has come a way in the past 50 years. Jaisalmer is a city that might be far away, but it is definitely not forgotten. It is one of the best places to visit in Rajasthan. If you like learning about the earth and how it was made, then Jaisalmer is the place you need to go. The Wood Fossil Park, or Aakal, is 15 kilometers away from the city of Jaisalmer. At this park you can see what happened to the earth a time ago about 180 million years ago in the Thar Desert. The city of Jaisalmer also helps keep this part of Rajasthan and India safe. This city, also called the Golden City, is near the border of Pakistan and close to the Thar Desert. The famous thing to see in Jaisalmer is the Jaisalmer Fort, which is also called Sonar Qila or the Golden Fort. The Jaisalmer Fort is not a place that people visit when they are on vacation. It is more than that. The Jaisalmer Fort has shops, hotels, and old houses where people still live. The fort looks amazing: it is like a castle made of sand that comes out of the desert. There is no place to go on a fun camel ride and learn about the desert. The Jaisalmer Fort has 99 walls around it, and people still live inside the fort. When you are done looking, you can go back to your hotel for the night.
Day 5: Back to where it began, Jodhpur
On the 6th day, your trip comes to an end. After breakfast, you will be driven back to Jodhpur from Jaisalmer. With memories umpteen, journey back home.
